A barcode is a machine-readable representation of data, typically consisting of parallel lines of varying widths and spacings. Barcodes are used to quickly and accurately identify products, track inventory, and manage logistics. They are commonly seen on product packaging and can be scanned using optical scanners or barcode readers.
A QR code (Quick Response code) is a type of two-dimensional barcode that can store more information than traditional barcodes. QR codes consist of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background, which can be read by an imaging device such as a camera. QR codes are widely used for various applications, including marketing, ticketing, and product tracking, as they can encode URLs, text, and other data.
The DPP-Pocket mobile app is designed to read both barcodes and QR codes, making it a versatile tool for accessing product information and managing digital product passports efficiently.
The DPP-Pocket application is a multilingual app, with its interface currently supporting 9 different languages: French, English, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, German, and Japanese. We are working hard to make the application available in even more languages. To change the language of the application, go to the menu, navigate to the "Settings" section, and modify the language in the "Language" dropdown list. See the following screenshots.
The DPP-Pocket application is designed to easily manage multilingual product sheets, which is why you can find product sheets in up to 29 different languages today. All languages of the European Union and major global languages are already available on DPP-Pocket.
